Deworming
Strategic deworming guidelines for dogs
How often a dog needs deworming depends on its age and stage of life. Use this schedule as a guide and call us if you are unsure where your dog fits.
Puppies
- Deworm every 2–3 weeks until they are 3 months old
- Then deworm every month until they are 6 months old
Adult dogs
- Deworm every 3 months, or based on parasitic exposure
Pregnant dogs
- Deworm once prior to mating
- Once at the time of delivery
- Then at 2 to 4 weeks after delivery
